DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
When you arrive at Kathmandu's Tribhuwan International Airport, our representative will greet you and transport you to your hotel. In your spare time, you might relax or explore the area surrounding your hotel, the tourist hotspot Thamel.
Day 2: Exploring UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Swoyambhunath Stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple
After breakfast, you will visit Swoyambhunth Stupa (UNESCO World Heritage Site) (Monkey Temple), an ancient religious building perched on a hill with panoramic views of Kathmandu. This morning, you drive to Bhaktapur Durbar Square (UNESCO World Heritage Site), a medieval city with royal palaces, temples, well-preserved architecture, and a dynamic culture. You can learn about the historical significance of the Nyatapola Temple, a five-story pagoda-style temple. Then you proceed to a nearby restaurant for lunch. You may explore a typical pottery square and observe craftspeople at work.
Then you proceed to Changu Narayan Temple (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Nepal's oldest temple, which is revered due to its religious, cultural, and historical significance. This ancient temple is devoted to Lord Vishnu and features incredible intricate wood and stone carvings that display excellent craftsmanship and artistic skills. Finally, in the evening, you return to Kathmandu.
Day 4: Exploration of UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Patan Durbar Square, Boudhanath stupa
Today you will visit Patan Durbar Square and Boudhanath Stupa (Nepal's largest stupa). Patan Durbar Square is famous for its beautiful wood and stone carvings. You explore the Golden Temple (Hiranya Varna Mahavihar) and the Krishna Mandir, both devoted to Lord Krishna. Nepali traditional cooking dishes can be learned. You also participate in a Thangka painting workshop, which is a traditional Tibetan Buddhist art form. You proceed to the Bouddhanth stupa, also known as the Boudha Stupa. It is Nepal's most recognized and significant religious site. Return to your hotel for the night.
Day 5: Discover natural beauty and tranquility of Nagarkot
You travel to Nagarkot, a hill station noted for its breathtaking sunrise and sunset views of the Himalayas, which include multiple snowcapped peaks such as Mt. Everest, Annapurna, Manaslu, and Langtang. At an elevation of 2,175 meters, Nagarkot is located in Nepal's Bhaktapur district, approximately 32 kilometers east of Kathmandu. It takes around one hour and thirty minutes for the drive from Kathmandu to Nagarkot. You can go on an amazing hike or simply relax and enjoy the calm surroundings.
Nagarkot additionally offers visitors the chance to learn about the local way of life and culture.
