TRIP OVERVIEW
Khopra Dada trek is one of the best wilderness treks in the Annapurna South Mountain ridge. This trekking path is ideal for witnessing close-up views of the world's three above 8,000m mountains, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Manaslu, and Mt. Annapurna 1st, as well as a dozen other snowy peaks. This trek gradually takes you up and down the high altitude hill side, passing through terraced rice fields, green jungles, small cultural villages, especially Gurung and Magar communities, which are well-known among British Gurkhas, rhododendron and pine forest, and finally the pasture land of Yaks and Sheep.
The best season to trek in Khopra danda
Khopra danda trek is situated on the lap of Mt. Annapurna South. The altitude of Khopra Danda is 4,025m and the hiking place Khayer lake is 4,700m so, the best seasons to trek in Khopra danda is in October to mid-December in autumn and March to May in spring season because of its distance visibility, comparatively clear weather and travel friendly temperature. If you want to take the landscape photography for the mountains and hills, the best time is in November and December. If you want to take the landscape photography with colorful Rhododendron and other variety flowers then you can join in April and May in spring seasons.
Physical fitness for Khopra danda trek
Khopra Danda Trek is medium hard Himalayan destination so, it requires the perfect physical fitness good health condition and strong mentality. The perfect physical fitness is key to succeed the journey when you go to the mountain and hill side for trekking or hiking purpose for some days or a couple of weeks.

DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
When your arrival in Tribhuwan international airport in Kathmandu, our representative will receive from airport to the Hotel. After checking in the hotel, we will revise you the programs once more, if you have remaining dues, please clear it at our first meeting. Rest of the time, you can take rest or visit at Thamel for shopping or relaxation. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara then drive to Ghandruk (1,960 m)
in the morning, our trekking guide will receive you from the hotel to the airport then fly to Pokhara takes 35 minutes. When you are flying, you will enjoy a lot to see the several Himalayan views with including Mt. Annapurna and Mt. Manaslu which is above 8,000m and several peaks around Manaslu, Lamjung Himal and Annapurna ridge. From Pokhara, it takes 3 hours to Ghandruk by private jeep. If you have remaining time then, you can visit Ghandruk village which is very famous hilly village of Gurung community’s settlement with incredible Mt. Machhapuchre view. From today, you will get bed, breakfast, lunch, dinner with 3 cups of tea or relevant items every day and that is choo sable from the standard menu. Overnight at hotel in Ghandruk.
Day 3: Trek to Dobato (3,455m)
After having breakfast, you will walk ascend several stony cliffs passing through the tiny villages and rhododendron forest. You will take lunch at Tadhapani or Deurali then continue trek to Dobato. The path is really upstairs full day but the landscape views are really great. You can see barking deer and the variety of birds and butterflies on the way. Overnight hotel at Dobato.
Day 4: Trek to Sistibung (3,100m)
Early in the morning, you can hike to Mulde view point for stunning sunrise with amazing mountainous views around then back to your hotel, take breakfast there and continue trek to Sistibung with outstanding mountains and amazing landscape views. Overnight hotel at Sistibung.
Day 5: Trek to Khopra Danda (4,025m)
You will walk on the hillside of Khopra Danda with taking experience the high route altitude. The surrounding mountain views on the way is really impressive to you. You see Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Annapurna 1st, Mt. Annapurna south, Mt. Machhapuchre and many surrounding peaks very closely. The early morning sunise view from Khopra danda is just incredible. The Kaligandaki river gorge is the world’s deepest river gorge which you can see from Khopra danda clearly. Overnight at tea house.
Day 6: Hike to Khayer Lake (4,700m) and return to Khopra Danda
After breakfast, hike to Khayer lake (4,700m), also known as Goddess Kali lake by the locals, which is particularly famous for its natural strength spiritual holy lake on the lap of Mt. Annapurna south (7,219 m). Visit the neighboring Himalayas and return to Khopra Dada for an overnight stay at the Khopra Danda hotel. Khopra Danda is located 4,025m above sea level, therefore the high altitude may cause some discomfort. Be careful, drink enough of liquids, and keep your body warm. If you are suffering from high altitude sickness, then descending is the best option. Day 7: Trek to Tatopani
The trail descends Tatopani with seeing the amazing view of Mt. Dhaulagiri and neighbouring peaks. Tatopani is a river side village where you get the natural hot spring which help you freshen up. Tatopani is the world’s deepest Kaligandaki river gorge so, you may be very happy for getting chance to stay overnight there.
Day 8: Trek to Ghorepani
You climb up Ghorepani passing through the beautiful Sikha and Chitre village. The trail ascends approximately 8-9 hours to reach Ghorepani which is a small hill but very famous trekking places in Annapurna region. You can celebrate your last trekking day there. Overnight hotel at Ghorepani.
Day 9: Trek to Ulleri and drive back to Pokhara
Early in the morning, you climb Poonhill for sunrise view, it takes approximately 1 hours from where you see the amazing natural beauty in Annapurna region, world’s deepest Kali Gandaki river gorge with sunrise. While the sun hits the several peaks and mountains are just incredible. After returning back from Poonhill to your hotel, you take breakfast then continue trek to Ulleri. You take lunch there then drive back to Pokhara by private Jeep takes 3 hours.
Day 10: Sightseeing around Pokhara valley
Pokhara is truly a natural valley where we will get many easy to adventurous touristic activities such as Paragliding, jip flier, Ultra light flight, Bungee Jumping and many more. If you want to do some activities, that is your separate to pay. Our itinerary is just including sightseeing around Annapurna mountain musium, Cultural museum, Seti river gorge, Davi’s falls and 1 hour boating in Phewa lake. Overnight hotel at Pokhara with bed and breakfast.
Day 11-12: Drive to Chitwan by tourist bus
Chitwon National park is a famous national park conservation area in Nepal. This national park is very famous for so many species of birds, butterflies and wildlife. If you love the nature and its creatures, this park if one of the worlds famous national park where you can see several things which is beyond your limit. The word is not enough to explain the park so, go and visit. You can take the real taste after seeing all of these. Overnight at Hotel with bed and breakfast.
Day 13: Back to Kathmandu by tourist bus
The bus follows the Trishuli river valley with passing many cities, terraced farm land and many river rafting stations, if you love then you can join rafting in the Himalayan rushing rive otherwise, the bus takes 5-7 hours to arrive in Kathmandu. Overnight Hotel at Kathmandu with bed and breakfast.
Day 14: Sightseeing Kathmandu valley and Mountain flight in Everest region
Nepal is home to the several things but it is famous for the worlds’ highest Mountains and Peaks. Mountain flight to Mt. Everest region is one of the best idea for seeing worlds’ tower peak Mt. Everest 8,848 m, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Chho-Oyu and several others. After your mountain flight, you will be sightseeing the worlds’ famous Buddhist Monastery Boudhanath Buddhist Monastery, Swoyambhunath Stupa, Pashupatinath Hindu temple and Kathmandu Durbar square art and architecture site. In the evening, our company provide you farewell dinner in the authentical cultural reataurant and overnight Hotel at Thamel with bed and breakfast.
Day 15: Free day and final departure
Today is your free day and prepare to depart with collecting many of eye-catching Himalayas views which you capture from your travel friendly Camera which helps to remember Nepal for generation to generation to your family and friends.
